Jason Derulo brought his 'The Last Dance' tour to the First Direct in Leeds and it was a 2 hour party of bangers.
Jason has spent the build up to this tour classing it as a 'farewell' but only in terms of this character and persona. After this tour he is moving to "Reinvent" his image and after this show, I'm incredibly excited to see what he has in store.
Opening this night was LZ7 an act that was so packed with energy that I'm surprised they could walk off the stage and the crowd had anything left for the rest of the night. A great opener for what was to become a crazy night.
Next up was Thera, an artist from Czech Republic. Although not as crazy energy as the first act, the contrast set up perfectly and the tempo of the night carried so smoothly.
Thera has such a strong and beautiful voice and I'm so glad that I got to see her perform as without this show I probably wouldn't have heard her or taken a moment to listen and now I can say I very much enjoy listening to her music.
There wasn't a long wait before a countdown hit the screens and a video package to start off what was to become an exciting night filled with pyros, amazing dancing and one of the best showmen I've seen.
Jason performed everything you'd expect, 'Sexy For Me' and 'Wiggle' opening the night, 'Watcha say' 'Tip Toe' 'Ridin Solo' and 'Savage Love' were just part of the first half of the night. This is when you realise just how stacked out a discography Derulo has and just how many hits he has.
Although not a show or artist I would normally go out my way for, this show was something so spectacular to witness and I'm so glad I was there to see it. The crowd were vibing from beginning to end and it only got more crazy when Jason walked through the crowd (We won't talk about the security incident)
The wristbands everyone had also added a visually stunning sight changing colours regularly and vibing along with the songs. I love when shows have these wristbands and I don't think I'll ever tire of them.
The next chapter for Derulo will definitely be a fun and exciting one, I just can't wait to see what it will be.
