Arguably the hottest band in the indie music scene, The Royston Club blew the packed Cardiff crowd away with a sensational show at the Great Hall.
Opening with the first single off the new album, The Patch Where Nothing Grows provided the audience with an idea of what was to come.
Jamming 16 songs into an hour set the boys from Wrexham fired off hit after hit with frontman, Tom Faithful sounding exactly like he does on their records.
A mix of tunes from their debut album, Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars as well as their latest, Songs for the Spine the crowd sang back with an unmatched energy, a true testament to the bands ability to create heart wrenching and passionate love songs.
Mr’s Narcissistic brought the energy in the Great Hall to another level before Tom and Ben (lead guitar) slowed it down with a powerful and emotive duet of a Tender Curiosity.
The show reached a stunning climax with the spectacular Cariad providing the perfect ending to an awe-inspiring performance.
A show to remember Royston continue to provide songs and shows that tingle the spine and they will continue to grow playing bigger and bigger venues.
